About His Career
Rinku Singh failed in the ninth grade and did not want to study. However, he had a passion for cricket from a young age and started playing at the under-16, under-19, and under-23 levels for Uttar Pradesh. At the age of 16, he made his debut for Team A and played for Uttar Pradesh for the first time, scoring 83 runs. He made his debut in the Ranji Trophy for Uttar Pradesh on November 5, 2016, and played seven matches over two years, scoring four half-centuries.
In 2017, Kings XI Punjab acquired Rinku Singh for Rs 10 lakh for the Indian Premier League, but he did not play any games that season. However, he was selected for the tournament, which made him happy, and he asked his father to quit his job as an LPG distributor. In the following year, he was purchased by Kolkata Knight Riders for Rs 80 lakhs after his impressive performances in the IPL, and he continues to play for them in 2023.
On April 9, 2023, in a match against Gujarat Titans, Rinku Singh scored 48 runs off 21 deliveries, including five sixes in the final five balls of the last over to win the game for Kolkata Knight Riders.
