Marriage Games– In South India, marriage rituals usually get completed in an hour or two in the morning. After the marriage, the families of both the bride and groom get free time to sit and chat among the relatives till they vacate the chatram (Marriage Hall), during this leisure time they conduct games between the Bride and Groom and sometime among the relatives just to have fun. Here are some of the games played traditionally in South India Marriages.

Marriage is a matching card game played with three decks of cards in Nepal, Bhutan, and by the Nepali diaspora. It is based on making sets of three or more matching cards of the same rank, the same rank and suit, or three or more consecutive cards of the same suit.

  5. Pass the Parcel: A fun game that involves passing a wrapped gift around while music plays. When the music stops, the person holding the gift unwraps a layer, and the game continues until the gift is unwrapped.
  6. Find the Ring: A game in which a ring is hidden in a bowl of water, and the couple has to find it without using their hands.
  7. Musical Chairs: A classic game that involves removing a chair each time the music stops. The last person to sit down is out, and the game continues until there is only one person left.
  8. Kabbadi: A team game in which one person from each team tries to tag as many opponents as possible and return to their side without getting caught.
  9. Balloon Games: A variety of games can be played with balloons, such as balloon bursting, balloon volley, and balloon balancing.
  10. Tug of War: A game in which two teams pull on opposite ends of a rope. The team that pulls the rope over to their side wins.
